I was driving my daughter to preschool and my two girls (3 and 5) were getting along quietly in the back. The music was enjoyable and I was driving on one of my favorite streets.
The name is Meridian. It starts in Edmonds and extends into Seattle through Shoreline. It is lined with trees on either side and the branches grow tall and full and greet the tree branches on the other side of the street. It makes a beautiful green arch for me to drive under.
In the fall when the leafs turn gold, crimson, and fire, it is stunning.
It was a nice moment to reflect that these little things make me happy.
